Dr. Hada, who was a professor in the Department of Hindi at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, has written extensively on literature, media culture and history. He has been awarded the Bhartendu Harishchandra Puraskar for Media Studies and the Devraj Upadhyaya Puraskar for Literary Criticism.
‘Bihari Puraskar’ is one of the three literary awards instituted by the Foundation in 1991. This award is given annually to Rajasthani writers in the name of famous poet Bihari. 2.5 lakh rupees, a plaque and a citation are presented as an honor.
This award is given only to such writers belonging to Rajasthan who have either been residing in Rajasthan for seven years or are native to the state and residing in any part of the country. This award is given every year for a work published in Hindi or Rajasthani language.
