Indian-origin Dr. Vivek Murthy to represent America on the WHO Executive Board

 US President Joe Biden has appointed Indian-origin Dr. Vivek Murthy as America's representative on the Executive Board of the World Health Organization (WHO).

 Dr. Murthy, 45, is currently serving as the Surgeon General of the US. Murthy will assume the new charge in his current role. Dr. Murthy, the first Indian-origin surgeon general, grew up in Miami and is a graduate of Harvard's Yale School of Medicine. He has also studied at Yale School of Management.

 The Surgeon General's job in America is to help lay the foundation for a healthy country. Let us educate that the US Senate had confirmed Dr. Murthy for the country's 21st Surgeon General in March, 2021.

 He previously had served as the 19th Surgeon General during President Barack Obama's tenure.
