Kalyan Chaubey becomes the new President of All India Football Federation

 On September 02, 2022 Former Mohun Bagan and East Bengal goalkeeper Kalyan Chaubey has been appointed as the new President of All India Football Federation (AIFF).

 He is the first former national team player to be elected as the head of the governing body of Indian football. In this election, 34 representative members of the State-Union participated. Significantly, he defeated former Indian captain Bhaichung Bhutia by 33-1 votes.

All India Football Federation (AIFF)

 The All India Football Federation was established in the year 1937 (after India's independence gained FIFA affiliation in the year 1948). Its headquarters is located in New Delhi.
