Multi-Faceted Evaluation Process

Gunotsav 2024 utilizes the expertise of over 18 thousand external evaluators, drawn from various domains such as state Chief Ministers, MLAs, Chief Secretaries, college teachers, and government officials. The comprehensive evaluation extends beyond individual student performance, incorporating an overall assessment of schools.

Identifying Learning Gaps

One of the primary objectives of Gunotsav 2024 is to identify learning gaps for each student, facilitating a more targeted and effective approach to education. By understanding the specific needs of students, the initiative aims to ensure quality education with grade-specific outcomes.

Accountability and Quality Improvement

The deployment of external evaluators in the assessment process enhances accountability in schools and contributes to the overall improvement of education quality. Gunotsav 2024 represents a crucial step towards fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in the education system.

Three-Phase Execution

To ensure a systematic and thorough evaluation, Gunotsav 2024 will be conducted in three phases. The first round, covering 12 districts, will take place from January 3-6. The second round will encompass 13 districts and occur from January 9-12. The final phase will include the remaining 10 districts and is scheduled from February 5-8.

Comprehensive School Assessment

Gunotsav 2024 goes beyond individual student evaluations, encompassing a holistic assessment of schools. This includes evaluating scholastic and co-scholastic aspects, assessing the availability and utilization of infrastructure, and gauging community participation in the educational process.

Building on Previous Success

Having been first organized in 2017, Gunotsav has evolved into a recurring exercise, with four rounds conducted thus far, covering all districts of Assam. The continued commitment to this initiative underscores the government's dedication to enhancing the educational landscape and ensuring the well-rounded development of students.

In conclusion, 'Gunotsav 2024' stands as a testament to Assam's commitment to education reform and the holistic development of students. By fostering accountability and continuous improvement, this initiative paves the way for a brighter and more robust education system in the state.
