Seven products of Uttar Pradesh got geographical indication
The Geographical Indications Registry in Chennai has given tags to seven different products from Uttar Pradesh. 'Amroha Dholak', 'Mahoba Gaura Stone Handicraft', 'Mainpuri Tarkashi', 'Sambhal Horn Craft', 'Baghpat Home Furnishings', 'Barabanki Handloom Products' and 'Kalpi Handmade Paper'.

Mahoba Gaura Stone - It is a very unique and soft stone whose scientific name is 'Pyro flight stone'. The Gaura stone craft is made of dazzling white-colored stone.
Mainpuri Tarkash - Mainly brass wire inlay work on wood. It was mainly used for Khadau (wooden sandals).
Sambhal Horn Craft - The raw material for Sambhal Horn Craft is obtained from dead animals. These are completely handmade.
