Peace and non-violence department will be set up in Rajasthan, the governor approved the proposall ?

 On October 01, 2022, a day before the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, the Department of Peace and Non- Violence has been approved in Rajasthan. Governor Kalraj Mishra has approved the proposal sent by the cabinet for the formation of peace and non-violence department in the state.

 It will work under the Department of Art Culture. Till now it was functioning as a Directorate. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had announced the formation of a separate peace and non-violence department in the state for 2022-23 in the budget announcement.

 This department will work in the state to take Gandhiji's message to the lower level of the state and to increase mutual brotherhood. The Department of Art and Culture will be its parent department.

 The Gehlot government, through the Department of Peace and Non- Violence, is working to promote mutual brotherhood along with giving the message of truth and non-violence among the youth.
