Kerala's Pullampara becomes India's first fully digitally literate panchayat

 Pullampara Gram Panchayat located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala has become a digitally literate Gram Panchayat. Pullampara has become the first panchayat in the country to achieve complete digital literacy among its residents.

 The 'Digi Pullampara' project was launched on August 15, 2021 to provide digital education to the most deprived sections of the society in the Panchayat. The project was carried out with the help of volunteers from colleges, Kudumbashree units and other self-help groups.

 The state government has made about 800 government services available online and the digitally literate population can make the most of them. The government is trying to ensure connectivity through digital and online platforms at various levels.
