Rajasthan Government launched 'Vishwakarma Shramik Kalyan Yojana'
On 12 July 2023, the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Rajasthan, Shakuntala Rawat, started 'Vishwakarma Kamgar Kalyan Yojana'. It is known that the scheme was announced by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in the budget presented for the year 2023-24.
The purpose of this scheme is to provide self-employment to women, workers, and various classes such as handicrafts, hairstyle, earthen pot artisans and nomadic classes.
Under this scheme, one lakh people will be given assistance of five thousand rupees to buy essential kits, equipment, sewing machines etc. Applicants from minimum 18 years to maximum 40 years can get the benefit of this scheme.
The scheme will be conducted by Rajasthan Crafts and Mati Arts Board, Rajasthan State Kesh Arts Board, Rajasthan State Vimukt Nomadic and Semi-Ghumantu Welfare Board, Rajivika and Office Commissioner Industry and Commerce.
