Meta launches 'Mixed Reality Fund' for Indian startups

Meta has announced the launch of a new 'Mixed Reality Program' (MR) in India, which offers $250,000 in awards to support domestic startups and developers in building applications and experiences.

The objective of the program is to foster innovation and establish a national technology ecosystem. Selected participants will also have the opportunity to upload their products to the Quest App Lab and gain exposure within Meta's developer ecosystem.

Under this program, five Indian developers and startups will receive financial grants as well as mentorship and guidance from Reality Lab's experts in the company.

Meta's Presence Platform is a series of machine perception and AI capabilities for the Meta Quest platform and the company's dream of the Metaverse. With this fund, it hopes to spur innovation and nurture an ecosystem of augmented reality technologies in the country.
