Let us educate that India is the president of the International Solar Alliance. The Assembly will consider key initiatives of the ISA on three key issues of energy access, energy security and energy transition.
Capacity building support to all developing member countries, and analytics and advocacy support to all member countries will also be discussed. This 5th meeting is expected to lead to greater consensus among countries to promote solar energy.
Three analytical reports will also be launched after the 5th meeting, namely the World Solar Technology Report, the World Solar Market Report and the World Solar Investment Report.
International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly
It is the highest decision-making body of the ISA, with representation from each member country. This body takes decisions related to the implementation of the Framework Agreement of the ISA and takes coordinated action to achieve its objectives.
It is a ministerial meeting and is held once a year. The first assembly of the ISA was held in October 2018 in Greater Noida, India, while the fourth assembly was held in virtual mode in October 2021.
