Amlan Borgohain, 24, became India's fastest runner

In the All India Inter Railway Athletics Championships in Rae Bareli, 24-year-old Indian sprinter Amlan Borgohain broke the 6-year-old national record in the 100 meters race and created a new Indian record. Sprinter Amlan Borgohain has become India's fastest runner by running 100 meters in 10.25 seconds.

24-year-old Amlan Borgohain surpassed the time of former fast sprinter Amiya Malik, who had set a national record in the 100m race in 2016 with a time of 10.26 seconds. Borgohain's previous best was 10.34s last year. At the Federation Cup earlier this year, he clocked 20.52s to set a new national record in the men's 200m.

Let us tell you that the current world record of 100 meters race is in the name of Usain Bolt. Bolt made this record on the track of the 2009 World Athletics Championships held in Berlin. In the final of this competition, he measured 100 meters of ground in 9.58 seconds i.e. his speed was 44.72 kilometers per hour.
