 Indian judo player Linthoi Chanambam created history, won India's first gold

 Recently, India's Judo player Linthoi Chanambam has won the gold medal in the Cadet World Championship 2022. She has created history by winning this medal. The 15-year-old Linthoi from Manipur is the first Indian judoka to win a medal in any age group at the World Championships. She is also a part of the TOPS program of the Government of India.

 Linthoi has won the gold medal in this competition. She won the gold medal by defeating Brazil's Binaca Reis in the women's 57 kg weight category in the ongoing competition in Sarajevo. She won this match by a margin of 1-0. Earlier she had also won the Asia Championship.

 Linthoi is an emerging player of the country in Judo. She won a gold medal in the Sub Junior National Championship in 2018. In November 2021, she won a gold medal at the National Championships in Chandigarh. After this, in July 2022, she also won a gold medal in the Asian Cadet Junior Judo Championship.

 She displayed her talent by winning the gold medal in the Sub Junior National Championship in 2018. She then won gold at the Asian Cadet and Junior Judo Championships in Bangkok.
