The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

The groundwork for the 'Drone Didi' pilot project was laid with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Mahindra & Mahindra Limited and the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Project Implementation

Under the ambit of the 'Drone Didi' scheme, Mahindra & Mahindra will spearhead the training initiatives, imparting crucial skills such as drone flying, data analysis, and maintenance to aspiring women entrepreneurs. The National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) will play a pivotal role by providing the requisite infrastructure for the pilot training project. Additionally, NSTI will collaborate with local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and women self-help groups (SHGs) to identify and select potential trainees, ensuring inclusivity and community engagement.

Inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi

These drones will serve as invaluable tools for tasks such as crop monitoring, fertilizer spraying, and seed sowing, thereby enhancing agricultural productivity and livelihood opportunities for rural communities. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, the scheme aims to bridge the gender gap in agriculture and facilitate the seamless integration of women into the agricultural workforce.

Conclusion
