Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the regional office of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited in Malaysia
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh reached Kuala Lumpur on 9 July 2023 on a three-day visit to Malaysia. This is the first bilateral visit after the establishment of the Advanced Strategic Partnership, which was announced during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Malaysia in 2015.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the regional office of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited- HAL in Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia. The Ministry of Defense said that this regional office will promote defense industrial cooperation between India and
Malaysia.
Earlier in August 2022, the Indian aerospace and defense company had set up an overseas marketing office in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia is showing keen interest in procuring India's indigenously developed Tejas aircraft.
Shri Rajnath Singh also visited the Ramakrishna Mission in Petaling Jaya and paid floral tributes at the statue of Swami Vivekananda. This statue was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the year 2015. He also visited the iconic Batu Cave Temple complex.

It is a state-owned Indian aerospace and defense company headquartered in Bangalore, India. It was founded on December 23, 1940 by Walchand Hirachand as Hindustan Aircraft Limited.
