World Habitat Day 2022 draws attention to the growing inequalities and vulnerabilities that have been exacerbated by the triple 'C' crisis - COVID-19, Climate and Conflict.
In 1985, the United Nations designated the first Monday of October every year as World Habitat Day. World Habitat Day was first celebrated in the year 1986 with the theme "Shelter is my right". The day was hosted by Nairobi (Kenya) in the year 1986.
