As a part of welfare measures and social safety net strategy, the Telangana government has launched the Aasara Pension Scheme with an aim to ensure a secure life with dignity for all the poor.
Aasara Pension Scheme is to protect the most vulnerable sections of the society, especially the old and infirm, people living with HIV-AIDS, widows, disabled weavers and toddy pullers, who have lost their means of livelihood with increasing age. Their day to day minimum needs are required to lead a life of dignity and social security.
Aasara Pension is a pension scheme by the Government of Telangana. It is a welfare scheme of pension for old people, widows, elephantiasis patients, AIDS sufferers, physically challenged people and beedi workers.
