Sujoy Lal Thosen appointed as Director General of CRPF

 On October 01, 2022, senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Sujoy Lal Thosen was appointed as the new Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Apart from this, Anish Dayal Singh has been appointed as the new Director General of Indo Tibetan Border Bal (ITBP).

 The notification was issued by the Union Personnel Ministry after their names were approved by the Cabinet Committee on Appointments headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 Sujoy Lal Thosen is a 1988 batch officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre and was earlier serving as Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and was holding additional charge of Indo-Tibetan Border Police. Anish Dayal Singh is a 1988 batch officer of Manipur cadre and is currently serving as a Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau.
