RBI Launches New Advanced Monitoring System 'DAKSH'

 On October 06, 2022 Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das has launched the Advance Supervisory Monitoring System ‘DAKSH’. This is expected to strengthen the monitoring process of RBI. This will help in monitoring the functioning of banks and other NBFCs.

 DAKSH is a web-based end-to-end workflow application through which RBI seeks to further enhance the compliance culture in Supervised Entities (SE) like Banks, NBFCs. DAKSH means 'skilled' and 'capable' which refers to the inherent capabilities of the application.

 Through DAKSH application, RBI seeks to bring more transparency in automated working of banks with the help of latest data and analytical tools.

 At the same time, RBI wants to take advantage of technology in the banking sector. With the help of this, RBI will be able to monitor the functioning of banks, NBFCs smoothly.
