India hosting 'Anti-Terror' Drills in Haryana's Manesar
India is hosting the multilateral counter-terrorism drills 'Anti- Terror 2022' from October 08 to 13, 2022. It is being organized in Manesar, Haryana. It is organized under the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS).
This is the second phase of the drill. The first phase of the drill was conducted from July 27 to August 01, 2022 by the National Anti- Terrorist Forces of the SCO member countries in their respective territories. Pakistan is also participating in this drill.
Eight representatives of the National Anti-Terrorist Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation and the NSG of the Republic of India are participating in it.
The objective of the drill is to exchange expertise, best practices and build synergy among Anti- terrorist forces of SCO RATS member countries to enhance capabilities to conduct Anti- terrorist operations and collectively counter other security threats.
