Chhattisgarh State launched 'Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park Scheme' statewide
On October 02, 2022, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched the state's ambitious 'Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park Scheme' statewide.
Along with this, Bhoomi Pujan and foundation stones were laid for 300 Rural Industrial Parks in different districts of the state. It is worth mentioning that on the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, village Gauthan is being developed as a Rural Industrial park to provide employment and income sources to rural poor families.
For this various livelihood activities are being conducted here. These parks are being developed as rural production and service centers. Rural Industrial Park will play an important role in realizing Mahatma Gandhi's dream of self-supporting and self-reliant villages. Through this scheme, a strong step has been taken towards making the villages self-reliant.
300 Rural Industrial Parks are being developed in the first phase. For this, one to three acres of land have been reserved for the park in Gauthan. In the first phase, two Gauthan in each development block is being developed as Rural Industrial Parks.
