UGC to launch portal named 'e-Samadhan' for redressal of grievances of students, employees

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has prepared a single window system with the aim of solving every problem of the students quickly. This is the portal, which has been named 'e- Samadhan'. All the old portals and helplines (except the anti-ragging helpline) have been merged to form 'e-Samadhan'.

Through this portal, students will be able to complain about all kinds of problems, from admission to scholarship. UGC Chairman Prof. M. Jagdish Kumar said that now there will be no need to go to different portals and helplines. Only through this one portal, students will be able to report the problem.

The complaints on this portal will be monitored on a daily basis and a time-limit has also been fixed for the resolution of each complaint. This portal will be started in two- three days. The full name of this portal is e-Samadhan - Online Grievance Registering and Monitoring System.

Through this, all types of complaints will be able to reach the UGC through a single portal. The portal will have a number of problem-oriented options. Students will be able to convey their point of view by choosing the option of their problem.

UGC currently has three portals. These are - Students Grievance Portal, Scholarship and Fellowship Portal, PG Portal. Apart from this, there are Covid-19 Helpline, Scholarship Fellowship Helpline, National Scholarship Portal Helpline, Saksham Helpline and Anti Ragging Helpline.
