India will host the first Moto Grand Prix (Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing) world championship race in the year 2023 at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, which has been named as the 'Grand Prix of India'.

On September 21, 2022, MotoGP commercial rights owner Dorna signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Noida- based race promoters Fairstreet Sports to host the premier 2 wheel racing event in India for the next 7 years.

Riders from 19 countries will participate in this event. Buddh International Circuit was once home to the Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix, which was held for 3 consecutive years from 2011 to 2013, before being closed due to financial, income tax and bureaucratic constraints.
