Dilip Tirkey appointed as President of Hockey India

 On 23 September 2022, former India hockey captain and Olympian Dilip Tirkey was elected the President of Hockey India. He has been elected unopposed to the top post of Hockey India. Tirkey was elected president of Hockey India unopposed after two others who filed nominations for the top post withdrew their nominations.

 Let us tell you that Dilip Tirkey has the experience of playing hockey at the international level for 15 years. He has played 412 matches for the country and this is the Indian record for playing most international hockey matches.
