Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be honored with this year's Lokmanya Tilak Award
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be conferred with this year's prestigious Lokmanya Tilak Award on 1 August 2023 in Pune, Maharashtra. Where NCP chief Sharad Pawar has been invited as the chief guest.
The President of Tilak Memorial Trust, Dr. Deepak Tilak, and Rohit Tilak made the official
announcement at a press conference in Pune. On August 1, the 103rd death anniversary of Lokmanya Tilak, the Tilak Smarak Mandir Trust (Hind Swaraj Sangh) will honor the Prime Minister with the 41st National Award.
The trust says that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been chosen as the recipient of the award, which includes a memento and citation, in recognition of his exceptional leadership and his efforts to promote the spirit of patriotism among citizens.
Last year, the Lokmanya Tilak National Award was presented to senior scientist Tessy Thomas, known as the "Missile Lady" of India. He served as the Project Director for Agni-IV and Agni-V missile systems. Apart from this, Indira Gandhi, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Sharad Pawar and Manmohan Singh have also got it.
