'G-20 Crime and Security Conference' organized in Gurugram, Haryana

 The Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation Shri Amit Shah addressed the inaugural session of the "G20 Conference on Crime and Security in the Era of NFTs, AI and Metaverse" at Gurugram, Haryana on 13 July 2023.

 The two-day conference on 13-14 July 2023 saw over 900 participants from G20 countries, 9 special invitees, international bodies and technology leaders and domain experts from India and across the world.

 The conference is envisaged as an opportunity to build a global partnership to create a secure cyberspace and prioritize cyber security concerns, a platform for exchange of cutting edge ideas, knowledge and networking with visionaries from around the world. will provide the platform.

 The Home Minister also flagged off cyber volunteer squads of 7 premier educational institutions of India to create cyber awareness in the society, identify and report harmful content and provide technical support to make the society cyber safe do.

 The two-day conference featured 6 technical sessions including Internet Governance, Securing DPI amid unprecedented scale of
digitization, Extended Reality, Metaverse and the future of digital ownership, AI: Challenges,
Opportunities and Responsible Use and Challenges of Cryptocurrencies and the Darknet .
