India's Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal in Lausanne Diamond League


 In the Lausanne Diamond League, Olympic champion Neeraj returned from injury by throwing the javelin to a distance of 87.66 meters. Neeraj started the year by winning the Doha Diamond League with a throw of 88.67m.

 The 25-year-old pulled out of the FBK Games in Hengelo (Netherlands) on June 4 and the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland on June 13 due to a hamstring injury.

 The silver medal of the Lausanne Diamond League competition was won by Germany's Julian Weber. He threw the javelin to a distance of 87.03 meters. Jakob Wadlich of the Czech Republic finished third.

 In the men's long jump, India's Murali Sreeshankar finished fifth with a jump of 7.88m, which he achieved in the third round.

Awards won by Neeraj Chopra:


 Neeraj Chopra was awarded the Arjuna Award for Athletics in 2018.

 He was again awarded the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award in 2021.

 In 2022, Neeraj was honored with the Padma Shri Award.

Asian Squash Mixed Doubles Championship


 The pair of Dipika Pallikal and Harinder Sandhu won the title of the Asian Squash Mixed Doubles Championship held in Guangzhou, China. They beat top-seeded Malaysian pair Aira Azman and Shafiq Kamal in the quarter-finals, while in the semi-finals they beat Pakistan's Tyeb Aslam and Faiza Zafar. Apart from this, Pratibha Anahat and Abhay Singh won the bronze medal in the doubles pair.

Yuki Bhambri's first ATP Doubles title


 Yuki Bhambri won his first title on the ATP World Tour by winning the doubles trophy at the Mallorca Championships with South African partner Lloyd Harris. The Indo- South African pair defeated the Dutch-Austrian pair of Robin Hasse and Philipp Oswald 6-3, 6-4 in the final of the grass-court event.
