Virat Kohli becomes first Indian batsman to score 11,000 runs in T20 cricket

 On October 02, 2022, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has become the first Indian batsman to score 11,000 runs in T20 format. He crossed the milestone in the second T20 International against South African team at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, Assam. He scored a total of 49 not out in India's score of 237 for 3 in 20 overs.

 Virat Kohli is now at number four in the list of batsmen who have scored the most runs in T20. The list is topped by Chris Gayle of West Indies, who has scored 14562 runs in 463 matches.

 Kieron Pollard is at the second position with 11915 runs in 614 matches and Shoaib Malik of Pakistan is at the third position who has scored 11902 runs in 481 matches.
