Pankaj Advani wins 25th world title

On October 08, 2022, India's legendary player Pankaj Advani continued his reign at the IBSF World Billiards Championship in Kuala Lumpur. He defeated Saurav Kothari by 4-0 in the final. This is the 25th world title of Pankaj's career.

In this 'Best of Seven' final, Advani created a unique record of winning the national, Asian and world titles of billiards for the fifth time in a calendar year by showing his best from the start.

Kothari is awaiting his maiden International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) world title. Advani, on the other hand, took a 2-0 lead with the help of a break of 77. Advani made the tournament's highest break of 153 in the third frame, just one frame away from the title.

The last world championship was played in 2019 due to the corona virus. Advani had earlier won the last world title in Qatar 12 months ago. Then he won the title in the IBSF 6-Red Snooker World Cup.
