International Day of the Girl Child is celebrated every year on 11 October. The 10th International Day of the Girl Child has been celebrated in the year 2022.
The theme of International Day of the Girl Child, 2022 is 'Our Time is Now - Our Rights, Our Future'. The purpose of this day is to protect the rights of the girl child, to identify the challenges and difficulties faced by them and to bring awareness in the society to give equal rights to the girl child.
The International Day of the Girl Child was first organized by the United Nations in the year 2012. The theme of the first International Day of the Girl Child was 'Ending Child Marriage'. Let us tell you that 24 January is celebrated as National Girl Child Day all over India.
