Ravi Kapoor relieved as CEO of Sansad TV, Utpal Kumar Singh gets additional responsibility
Thereafter, the Chairman of Rajya Sabha and Speaker of Lok Sabha jointly decided that Utpal Kumar Singh, who is currently holding the post of Secretary General of Lok Sabha, would additionally discharge the functions of CEO of Sansad TV.
Let us tell you that last year the presiding officers of both the houses of Parliament started the process of making Sansad TV by merging Lok Sabha TV and Rajya Sabha TV.
Under this, retired Indian Administrative Service officer Ravi Kapoor was appointed as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for one year. According to the circular issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, Kapoor was appointed to the post for one year with effect from March 1, 2021.
