Queen Maxima of Netherlands calls on President Draupadi Murmu
The meeting recalled the state visit of the former President of India to the Netherlands in April 2022.
The 'Strategic Partnership on Water' launched during the India- Netherlands virtual summit in April 2021 and several other dimensions of bilateral relations have seen further strengthening in recent years. The two leaders also discussed at length various aspects of universal financial inclusion.
The Government of India is committed to connect every Indian with formal banking facilities through various means and to ensure that the benefits provided by the government reach the final intended beneficiary in full measure without any hindrance.
Queen Maxima appreciated the progress made in India in this direction over the years. Queen Maxima is on an official visit to India from 29 to 31 August 2022 as Special Counsel to the UN Secretary-General for Inclusive Finance for Development and Honorary Patron of the G20 Global Partnership (GPFI).
