Very Short Range Air Defense System (VSHORADS) is a man portable air defense system indigenously designed and developed by DRDO's Research Center Imaran (RCI), Hyderabad in collaboration with other DRDO laboratories and Indian industry partners.

The VSHORADS missile incorporates several innovative technologies including Miniature Reaction Control System (RCS) and Integrated Avionics, which have proved successful during trials. The missile, which neutralizes short range low-altitude aerial threats, is powered by a dual thrust solid motor. The design of the missile has been highly optimized to ensure easy portability.
