Cabinet Approves Signing of MoU between India and Nepal in the Field of Biodiversity Conservation

 Recently, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Biodiversity Conservation with the Government of Nepal.

 It aims to enhance and strengthen cooperation and coordination in the fields of forest, wildlife, environment, biodiversity conservation and climate change, including re-opening corridors and interconnected areas between the two countries and sharing of knowledge and best practices.

 This MoU will help in promoting mutual cooperation between the two sides in the fields of forest, wildlife, environment, biodiversity conservation and climate change, including revamping of corridors and interconnected areas and sharing of knowledge and best practices.
