 Nagaland, located in the north-east of India, has got its second railway station, Shokhuvi, after 119 years. The first railway station was
opened here in the year 1903. This railway station is famous as Dimapur Railway Station.

 Now another railway station has opened in Shokhuvi of the state. Where this railway station is open is a small Shokhuvi village. As of 2011 India census, Shokhuvi village has a population of 3,526. There are.about 558 houses in Shokhuvi village. It is situated 25 km away from the district headquarter Dimapur.
