Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Launches Delhi Model Virtual School

 The Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi has started the first Delhi Model Virtual School (DMVS) in the capital. Arvind Kejriwal said that India's first virtual school affiliated to Delhi Board of School Education is starting Delhi Model Virtual School. Delhi Model Virtual School will be for class 9-12.

 This year admission is being given in this school in class IX. DMVS will offer 6 subjects - English, Hindi, Maths, Science, Social Science and Computer Science for class 9 with a diverse choice of rich courses. The medium of instruction will be both English and Hindi. No school fees will be charged from DMVS students.

 DMVS is a one of its kind online school in which the students will be taught like a regular school through flexible digital interaction.

 Students from all over the country can take admission in this school. The motto of this school- 'Learn anywhere, test anytime'. It has been told by the Delhi government that through this school, students and teachers will be connected through live classes.

Education Ministry refutes Delhi government's claim

 The Centre-run National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has refuted Kejriwal's claim that his government is starting the first virtual school in the country. NIOS, which functions as an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, said that India's first virtual school was started by it in August 2021.
